frist of all make sure that u both have the same strong feelings, cause relationships r always hard labour of two people and when on the distance even more. if one of u is not sure or not completely fallen, it will not work.
second get ready that it's gard to have long-distance relationships and not to be obsessed by the situation, not to be too jelaouse and suspicious and just take it as it is. if there is love it will overwhelm all the difficulties.and last trust to eachother if u really love eachother .GOOD LUCKAny advice for a long distance relationship?
my advice is to not expect too much out of it. it usually ends bad, because eventually someone else will come along either where you are or he/she is and you can't compete with that. Long distance relationships never work, you just have to have close contact, IM and email and webcam and telephone can only do so much.

keep up the contact, calls, e mails, letters, if you are able to hop on a plane to visit do it but obviously that is costly just do what you can. when you are together cherish every moment and dont waste time arguing about anything its not worth it. good luck

Long distance relationships take a lot of extra work, but if you really care about the other person then I'm sure you can make it work. One thing that is especially important in long distance relationships is that you and the other person need to work really hard to communicate openly wth one another. Also--do not let petty disagreements turn into full blown fights because when you are in a long-distance thing it is MUCH easier to get into an argument and let it create a rift in your relationship.
When you do get to see him/her, make sure to make it special and romantic every time...just to show how much you care about them.

i know it takes alot of trust and communication. be sure to talk about anything that is bothering either one of you. if you don't keep the lines of communication open it will be near to impossible to make it work. visit when you can
I am in one also, and I have been in it for over a year now. All we do is talk a lot, on the computer and phone. Send him/her pics and stuff, and just make sure to talk a lot. My bf and I don't really go longer than three days without talking because then it feels awkward when we talk again.
